An Innovation in Raw Material Comminution

The high pressure roll mill, HPRM, a newly invented size reduction equipment, has been recently added to the list of comminution machines and is classified as a highly efficient equipment. Although the HPRM is now already being operated in several full-scale size reduction plants, it has not yet been fully characterized. This is because the performance of this equipment is affected by numerous parameters that have to be investigated.and optimized. The mam design and operating parameters of the HPRM are roll size, applied load, roll speed, and roll gap. The main feed material properties which affect the mill performance are particle size and size distribution, hardness, and moisture content. The design and operating parameters are interrelated in a well defined combination to perform the comminution task. The properties of the product material are reflections of this combination.
